Both Robert Milller Downie and David Downie emigrated to Canada, where they were both employed as Foundry Workers in Kingston, Ontario in the1901 Census. David moved later the same year to Watertown, New York, USA where he died.Robert went to New York State in 1915 and was living with David's daughters Agnes (married to Clarence J Meade) and Alberta in the 1915 New York State Census. His death information is uncertain as the death certificate names him as Robert Downey aged 58 born Canada.
